track day Apr 28 2008

Most recent trackday, Apr 28 2008. It was dry for about a half a lap, then the rain set in. All day. Made for some interesting riding, temps never got above 45-48 F. Glad I had some raingear. Made some changes to the bike over the winter, gsxr 1000 forks (need to get some race tech springs for it, a little too soft for my taste), nabbed an ohlins shock off ebay (also stock spring, not sure about it yet), running a 46 rear sprocket for now. Still ironing out the suspension. I actually missed the old forks with the .95 springs Wink

. New paint job, replaced flat black with semi gloss black and gloss red with blue pinstripe tape.

I had RaceTech single rate springs in my OE Triumph forks before switching to the GSXR's
- never cared for them.
I should probably go to a stiffer spring as well, but I intend to stay with a progressive unit, - GV is always talking up the 'HyperPro'.
There should be a part number on your Ohlin's (yellow) spring, - indicating the weight.
